It is almost vacation time again, and the lessons at Bergen Muziek are nearly over.
But I am already busy making plans for the rest of this year.
For instance, I will be doing two small theater tours with a cool music show by Hanneke Drenth and Big Benth, and later in the year, around Christmastime, with the Tiny Little Big Band.
In the meantime, all other projects are continuing nicely as well, so keep an eye on everything if you want to stay up to date.

First of all, best wishes to everyone for 2026!

This year promises to be another exciting one with all sorts of musical announcements, which I’ll keep you updated on.
On January 18th, I’ll be recording a new live album with saxophonist Jelske Hoogervorst as part of the Heuvellaan concerts, on Frans de Rond and Peter Bjørnild’s Soundliaison label. It’s a live recording with an audience, so if you’d like to attend, you can order tickets via the link.
And on January 29th, I’ll also be starting a new workshop at UJazz, “The Hancock Groove,” where I’ll be exploring the music, improvement, and groove of Herbie Hancock in particular, with a new group of students.
Later this year, I have other things planned with the Amsterdelics, Carmen Gomes, and the Tiny Little Big Band, so be sure to follow me on Instagram or Facebook, or keep an eye on the schedule here on the website.

Holidays are over!

The holidays are over, which means some things have started up again! My lessons at Bergen Muziek on Mondays and Wednesdays have started, and I’m also teaching some lessons at home. There are definitely still spots available. I really enjoy coaching musicians and bands, not just guitarists, and I’ve already received a lot of positive feedback. Send me an email if you’d like more information.
Besides the session work I still do, my regular bands Carmen Gomes Inc. and the Tiny Little Big Band are playing all over the country. We’ve also recently started working with the new jazz formation Echoes of Four, so hopefully you’ll be able to hear them somewhere soon.
The Amsterdelics are also busy behind the scenes with new recordings and new plans. We’ll definitely be playing at the Melkweg again next May! I’d say keep an eye on the schedule here.
My duo with saxophonist Jelske Hogervorst, Interplay, will be recording a live concert in January during the Heuvellaan Concerts at MCO Studio 2 in Hilversum. The recordings will be released later. More information about the time and location can be found here.
My own band Tettero hasn’t been forgotten either, but for now we only have new plans!

2025!

In the meantime, the year 2025 has started in full swing for everyone and I have not been sitting still either!

As you may know, I am touring this year with the theater show of Franklin Brown and the Tiny Little Big Band ‘Las Vegas Legends’! We have already had the first try out and this promises a lot of fun performances. There are still plenty of tickets available at the moment, but in some places it is already going crazy so book quickly near you. February 6th is the premiere in the Oude Luxor in Rotterdam.

Furthermore, I can also report that a nice new project has started with Echoes of Four with drummer Peter Wissink, bassist Paul Berner and keyboardist Will Maas. They will play on March 13th and 14th and hopefully there will be new concerts.
Of course I am still playing with singer Carmen Gomes, in fact, we are going to make new recordings in May with the label Soundliason.

Keep an eye on the socials if you want to stay up to date on everything I do, because there are still some fun things happening that are not yet concrete.

The new season has already started, and so my concerts are now planned again!
With the duo with saxophonist Jelske Hoogervorst Interplay we just played a very nice concert on the Popup stage of ZoJazz in Amsterdam, but there are 2 more concerts coming up on the Pletterij stage on November 7 and at Ujazz on December 20. Grab your agenda already!!

Furthermore, I can now announce that I will be participating in the theater tour ‘Las Vegas Legends’ of the Tiny Little Big Band next season. The full tour list is of course on my agenda, but you can also look at Bos theater productions. It’s been a while since I’ve been to the theaters, so I’m really looking forward to this tour with this group of people. Tickets are now available at the relevant theaters.

And of course there are other concerts where I can be heard: Carmen Gomes Inc. will of course continue to play, and I will participate in various concerts of ‘Taal en Muziek’ in Haarlem.

the start of 2023…

The year 2023 has already started well and that is why I would like to inform you about new things that will happen this year.
In any case, there are a few nice performances coming up with the band of Carmen Gomes Inc , February 22 in the Observant and March 12 in the Kloostertuin in Sambeek.
My own band Tettero plays February 26 at Plofhuis 7 in Weesp and has just released a bonus track for the album Don’t Explain. During the recording session we included a stand to BB King as an extra recording. This song, called BiBi, can be found on Tettero’s Bandcamp page as an extra download with the album Don’t Explain, so check it out if you’re curious!
Furthermore, there will be a nice concert by the Tiny Little Big Band on March 5th, where I can play again in the Doelen in Rotterdam and we will also play again with the duo Interplay on February 4th in the Brakenkerkje in Obdam . Moreover, we will then make new recordings with this duo in the MCO studio in Hilversum to record a number of our own songs.
In the course of the year I will let you know some other plans, but for now this is enough!

The past year was a very special one with ups and downs , as for many, certainly also for all my creative colleagues .
This meant a long search for me personally, for how and what I want to do further, but also what I have already done with my music.
In the end, I went into the studio with a nice group of people to record new music.

And now it’s almost time and I can proudly say that the new CD of Tettero will be presented on November 13 in club Cinetone in Amsterdam. Details will follow of course, but put this in the agenda!
